I prefer the movie that explains how the galaxy got to where it is (the purpose of the prequels) to the one that shows a bunch of poorly done lightsaber fights and a whiny little bitch Vader.

I put the phantom menace below TLJ because of the immense hype of that movie. I waited in line for hours. Then it just sucked.
This new one, was not a bad sci fi movie, but it killed all of our dreams.

I have a soft spot for TPM. Yes, I get the hate. I am by no means saying it is a good movie. I still really enjoy watching it though.

My thoughts exactly. I left the theater on Saturday thinking this was either one of my favorite Star Wars movies or it was only slightly better than the prequels. The good parts were good, but there were some issues for sure. The entire first half of the movie was slow. The Rose/Finn plot line was completely pointless. There were too many conflicts for 1 movie. I look forward to my 2nd viewing tomorrow so I can properly evaluate it without the "shock and awe" effect of seeing it for the first time.

Every Star Wars movie that has been made so far is directly related to Anakin Skywalker, his family, and the struggle between the Republic and Empire controlling the galaxy. It's still the Skywalker Saga. I get that you're playing devils advocate, but it's annoying.
Anakin was born of the force. He had two kids. One of them had a kid. Guess who the bad guy is right now? Someone of the Skywalker blood line.

6. TLJ (hard to place this one. Need to see it more)
