When Apollo floored Rocky in the 14th round, the look that Apollo gave Rocky when he got up was the look of a beaten man. Apollo may have beat him, but both men knew Rocky won and a quick bell in the 15th saved Apollo.

Rocky’s love for his family and friends are what gives him his tremendous tenacity. His hardest training sessions and worst beatings are in Rocky II and IV when he wanted Adrian and his newborn son to have a better life and to avenge Apollo’s death.
Rocky fought hard in I and the III rematch, but he was fighting to the death in II and IV.
