As everyone else has said the show is really about the relationships between the characters, and there are a lot of lessons about leadership woven in as well.
Small piece of advice: watch it with closed captions. A lot of the jokes are lost because of the British accents. For me Keeley is tough to understand at times.

Someone stated it in another thread, but when I first started watching Lasso, I thought "great, just another hot broad that won't bring anything to the table"
Boy was I wrong, she is a great character.
Side note - I saw she will be in the new season of Fargo.
