Just finished the last episode today. It was probably the best behind the scenes (family life) show of pro athletes I can recall.

My impressions are Cousins and Mariota seem like very solid men who will be just fine after football.

Mahomes' wife doesn't come off as likable IMO. He seems pretty cool though.

There will be a season 2.

I searched for a thread on this show but couldn't find one. What did ya'll think of it?

Mahomes trash talking on the field was terrible.

I was impressed with Cousins and his family. Really likeable people.

Mahomes and his wife are a good fit for each other.

I was confused about Mariota leaving the team, did he walk out? Seems the surgery story was added as an excuse.

In defense of the wife she met him high school before she knew he would be the best qb in the game right now

She’s definitely a piece of work though compared to other wives on the show

I liked Mahomes more after this. They are from deep east Texas. She’s not too bad compared with the other bad shite East TX women I’ve met.

I liked his talking on the field. He’s a lot like Burrow

I definitely liked Mahomes and wife more after this show, but I really didn’t like her prior to it, so my opinion had nowhere to go but up.

I think his talk on the field is good, personally. Love how he’s constantly praising the defenders and such, as long as they’re not doing anything he perceives of as dirty or cheap.

Didn’t know much about Cousins, but I’m a big fan now. Solid dude.

Show is really good, though.

Just finished this. Good show.
Mahomes, yes I am biased but dude is a baller. And he came out looking ok. his wife is not as annoying as I thought she would be. I see the brother never made it into an interview. Wonder why?

Cousins, straight up I am now fan of his. Solid guy, solid family. That shot where he has just won the biggest comeback in NFL history and he takes time to make his kid a plate of food was awesome dad stuff.

Mariotta, thought he did not come off well. That whole miscommunication about surgery was something. His career is probably over.

I love the show.

But even though he backs it up Mahomes is a total idiot on the field. Not so bad off it but dang he is annoying and cocky.

Cousins is the man. Love him now.

Mariota just seems like a good dude but not sure of anything.

This is the impression I got, too. Has talent, brains, just lacks confidence and you need a bunch of it to be an alpha QB in the NFL.

Same as everyone with Cousins. Good dude, good dad, fiery when needed. Intentional with his emotions.

I would have liked to see something like this with Manning, Brees, Brady and such.

The worst is when you pull up Netflix and it shows that instant preview as it was being highlighted as the top show and it’s Mahomes walking to the sidelines going “ AHHHHHHHHH” blaring in my speakers

So ready for that to stop

Another conclusion from the show is that they are all extremely cheesy. Prob have never thought many thoughts in their entire lives not involving football.

Cousins shot up my favorite QB leaderboard after watching.

Mariota seemed to just give up and even sounded sour after getting picked up the Super Bowl Runner Up because he wanted to be out west.

Mahomes was exactly what I expected personality wise, including the wife. I did walk away impressed with how he manages his body and really puts it through a lot of work between games.

Mariota was an odd choice IMO for this show. He's a known guy, but not mistaken by any measure as a top QB in the league. Some other prime QB's must have turned this show down. He seemed like a nice guy, but I didn't really find his story interesting at all.

I think they were purposely trying to find a great qb, a mid qb, and one on the fringes.

Still think showtime “A season with” was way better than Netflix Quarterback.
