Pretty good so far. No doubt it’ll be farfetched though.
Funny how old boy ignored that the shower was already running when he walked in on the daughter.

Yep there’s the guy I’m assuming he’s a Foreman, eating beans at the house with Billy Bob. He was the sheriffs deputy in Yellowstone, a guard in Mayor of Kingstown, and a cook in 1883.

First two episodes has way too much of the daughter stuff in there, and its kind of cringe, and pretty frickin weird. Her telling her dad that he doesn't cum in her but he can cum anywhere else on her? wtf? And then her prancing around in her panties in front of dad, and her being all slutty around the old lawyer, making him all horned up? The daughter not knowing that Saban retired? shite was just dumb, and drags the show down.
And the first episode starts off with a bang with the interrogation, and the tanker blowing up the plane, then all of that is kind of an afterthought for the rest of the first two episodes. Then they kill off the likable hispanic crew in the first episode? Lame.
I really know nothing about O&G operations, but was that far-fetched that that rig would just blow up like that? Would they not be super cautious and aware of sparks coming off the wrench?
I'd give the first two episodes a 5/10. If Billy Bob wasn't the lead, it'd probably be a 3/10. He is great as usual.

This is a Sheridan production. Believability should be suspended.

How on earth do you kill off Michael Peña?
Posted on 11/20/24 at 1:50 pm to MemphisGuy
Exactly! Michael Pena isn't an actor you do that to.

Gotta give Pena more time than that. That was a waste of his time
Hoping we see some titties this season.

I don't know man. Kinda creepy sexualizing a character that's supposed to be in high school, even if the actress is of age. Maybe that's just me though.
Just watched the first 2. Wife and I said the same.
Just make her a college student.

Its not far fetched that its a possibility. It was basically a gas leak that got ignited by a spark from banging the tools together. And yea, once it lights, thats game over.
Never worked on land but I know its different than out here working deepwater GoM. That wouldnt happen out here, too many eyes on everything, too many permits, tool logs, and stop the job isnt frowned upon anymore. As soon as the valve wouldnt close like normal, the job would have been stopped and the valve/ upstream segment would have been isolated to make repairs.
The shelf and land are a little bit more "cowboy" and dont have quite as stringent regs. Using brass tools in that instance would have prevented the spark. As soon as they showed the tools, I knew what was coming.

I was wondering if they wouldn't have brass hammers to avoid sparks.

In reality, I imagine they would.
In any case its not really best practice to be banging away like that. Cheater bar, while still frowned upon, would have been a better option there.

Well, a cheater wouldn't have allowed Sheridan to show Tommy being the ultimate badass by cutting off the tip of his finger in the ER.

I had to watch a second time to realize the Sheriff was Mark Collie.
I haven’t seen him since his cameo in “The Punisher!”

I heard that Sheridan originally went to LSU before transferring to Texas State and had a certain nickname when he was a pledge at one of the fraternities on campus. Has anyone elese heard this?
