I was working in the Arts District downtown today and remembered hearing Glenn talking on the IASIP Podcast about how it’s going to be pretty hard soon to shoot outside the original Paddy’s Pub because the neighborhood is becoming too nice lol. Since my client was down the street I decided to do a drive by. Paddy’s is gonna have a high rise next to it

They could always do an episode where "The Gang Gets Gentrified"

This is awesome. I went to the real Paddy’s pub in Philly years ago. Should’ve gone to see this instead

If I ever go back to Philly, going to this would be my #1 priority.

Sorry- I guess my post may be a little confusing. The original Paddy’s exterior shooting location here in L.A.

544 Mateo Street
Los Angeles, California
90013

ETA: If you Google Street View the address and go back through time you can see film crews working out front in a few of the years, as well as the transformation/gentrification of the neighborhood. It's pretty neat.

Haven't watched Sunny since about season 4. I love the show but have no idea how they are still making original ideas after almost 20 yrs.

I think of Philly similar to Baltimore whole lot of old arse row houses and crime. Also a thriving open air drug market. So the "it's getting too nice" is kind of surprising.

You stopped at 4? You've really missed out then. 5 & 6 are peak Sunny too.

Looking at the streetview, it's strange how many insignificant details are different on the exterior of the building in the show. I wonder if they digitally changed it, and why.

Damn I can’t believe they go all the way to Philly just for the exterior shots
