Bumping thread.
Just finished it last night. The ending and most of the last season seemed kind of disjointed compared to the middle seasons.
Ruth was the best character on the show, and I found myself very sympathetic to Marty because of what he was trying to do, but having to work around Wendy's thirst for more power at every turn.
The ending was kind of meh for me. I didn't really expect any of the Byrdes to die, but I was hoping Ruth would somehow survive as she had seemed to turn a corner.
One question just in general. I try to have faith in humanity, but in general I think government is corrupt at every level, and wastes 75% of every tax dollar they collect at every level of government. This show seemed to imply how corrupt the FBI can be, would rather let drugs enter the country if they can keep seizing money to be used for other activities. Do you think this goes on in real life?
It's depressing to me to think that our government could do things like this to it's citizens, but I don't really doubt that is goes on every day.

The FBI has been coordinating terror plots on US soil for 20 years now in order to "stop terrorism", so yeah...they're corrupt.
