This is so spot on!
I started this due to the Scottish history (accurate or not) and I'm generally a sucker for time travel movies. I enjoyed many of the characters but cannot stand Claire which I realized was not a good sign that I'd stay with the show. Had a hard time getting through the first season and in fact never finished it. I ran across a review from a site I trust who gave a perspective from Season 7, and finding out that she bounced back/forth in time with enough melodrama for a daytime soap opera were enough for me to delete it from my Netflix list.
