Will I hate the lead character as much as I did in Weeds? I hesitant to start another Jenji Kohan show after Weeds.

I love the fact that she comes from a well-to-do upper class white family

Finished the season over the weekend. I really didnt care one bit for the guard/prisoner/baby storyline - I found it annoying. I really like Mendez, mostly because he was Nicky in The Wire, and he played a part in one of the seasons of Weeds, I think he's a good actor, and his character cracked me up. Especially when he referred to Pensitucky(? or whatever Taryn Manning's character name was) as "failed attempt at crib death" - I lost it for a second.

and actually, the 70's Show chick - she was my least favorite, as every scene she was in was so ...bleh. She's got the range of a Daisy air rifle. She's really not that much of an actress, or her character was very poorly written.

finished the first season. pretty solid. taylor schilling is good. laura prepon is not, and is not attractive but has big tits. crazy eyes is hilarious. i hate officer healey, i want him to die. taryn manning plays white trash like a champ. i like morello, and iwhi. mendez is a pos and i like watching him get fricked over. the most interesting scenes are the ones that take place out of prison, imo.

overall pretty good show. and the final scene in the finale was frickING AWESOME.

I'm on the finale. I've really, really enjoyed this show. Sad I got through it so quickly.

i'll give you this. I've seen her on some other stuff and found her to be fairly attractive and I love her voice. I don't find her attractive on this at all. They've made her too severe looking or something. Her eyebrows are too thin, the glasses look like shite, her dark hair does not go well with her complexion. I was just assuming that they are going for this look for this show.

I thought it was hilarious when they called her the "hot" one as she and Piper are standing next to each other. Piper totally has the Marcia Brady as done by Ben Stiller's wife, look to me.

Overall, though. Great show. I've got 3 more eps left and can't wait to watch them

Just finished it yesterday and really enjoyed the last scene.

(Spoiler)

I was wondering how they were going to make the show last with her sentence being only 15 months. They chose a great way to do it.

Netflix is really coming on strong with their original content. I'm looking forward to the next season of this and House of Cards, AD, and whatever else they're going to come up with. The binge watching makes the periods in-between kind of rough though.

The binge watching is great until you finish a whole season in 5 days and realize you've probably got 11 months to wait for season 2

Watching the last episode tonight, I think it's a pretty good show. I just can't help but think Jenji has a thing for white women in prison given that one season of weeds and now this show.

I really appreciate that they(Netflix) release the entire season and don't drag it out, but they could probably get more publicity for the shows if they stretched out the releases.

Watched the whole season and loved it.

House of Cards and this were great.

Hemlock Grove, not so much.

I'm almost through. It's solid. I'm not in love with it, but it's entertaining enough.

I liked the reference to American Pie in Ep1. That's as far as I've gotten but I like it.

Haven't seen it yet, but I just caught the trailer. Is that Jimbo?

just finished the second episode. it's great so far. kind of a Lost feel with the flashbacks, but stays centric to piper.

so far I've laughed my arse off and have been terrified as shite sometimes imagining being in prison.

He's such a fricking douchebag in the show, but there are some funny scenes with him. Also, did you catch the "shitbird" line he threw out? A little Wire reference was nice.
