Last week, Carl gets shot, and he's still not better, so that's gonna drag on for at least another week.
Also, to clarify this...I realize that a gunshot victim won't magically be better the same day, but I mean the cliffhanger of last week was him getting shot, and he's still not very stable. And it also means that he will be at the doc's house for a little while, thus slowing their pace (and the story) down even more.
Last night I said "I hope he dies...he's an annoying little shite. Both the kids are..." and my gf looked at me like wtf is wrong with you.

I agree. They do nothing for the show IMO.

Week one was an hour and a half show
With commercials yes... but the actual show was only 60 mins.

Glad there happened to be a doctor around at the house, as well as all the supplies of an ER to help Carl out. Sure, they need a few more things, but IV bags and shite? And he proper tools needed to perform a fricking blood transfusion? I dunno, just seemed way too convenient for my liking....much too deus ex machina really.
I hear a lot of people on here complaining about this, but if you listen to the dialog they obviously have been going back and forth to the near by town and hospital (which is no long there) to get supplies. So I'm guessing we are supposed to assume they are stocked up on all kind of supplies.

Shane/Fat Man at the school...makes no sense why they wouldn't lure the zombies away. For example, hop in the cop car, flip on the siren, and drive down the street. The zombies will follow you while the other guy raids the FEMA trailer.
Or take a few extra flares with them just incase.

Another case of zombies damn near sprinting, which I hate. HATE.

I still don't get how Sophia can be THAT lost, unless she was kidnapped/taken by someone or something like that.
I agree with this. I f*cking hate Carol (the bald chick). It's hard to believe that these people aren't hardened to the new reality that has encompassed them.
I just don't understand how they can forgo their safety and continue to put their life on the lines for a lost cause (even though the stupid girl will prob end up ok)

They were moving pretty fast, weren't they?

But last night was the first time I was actually disappointed in it. I just feel like the plot is moving too slowly, actually to the point of not really moving forward at all. And that's not good. But obviously I'll still tune in every week because I do love the show.
It's about the journey. This Deus ev machina was at least more probable than the CCD having a locked down building that would explode with no override and one scientist left.

I couldn't agree more... I wished nothing more than for Carl to just die and the others to pack up and move on and stop the stupid search for the girl.

Andrea gets dumber and dumber.
This chick is boarder-line retarded. How do you walk that far away from the group? And I don't understand how her first reaction is to scream like an idiot and get so scared to death she can't walk. This isn't the first zombie she's seen.

My out of the blue theory for next week: Anyone else think Shane is going to feed the fat guy to the zombies so he can get away with the medical supplies for Carl?
i do for sure. I honestly was expecting it before the show ended.

I haven't watched this episode but this just sounds like it sucks. These are the same issues we discussed last week that we hated from the first season.
Zombies shouldn't be running. Rigor should be setting in because they are technically dead. There is no blood. I never understood the dexterity. They should just be shuffling along at best.
Their attacks should be based on two things:
1. Sheer Numbers
2. Surprise.
That's it. If they are breaking out the O.J Simpson Zombie again hopping the fence and running a 4.2 wind aided 40 on concrete then I'm done. Done with this show.

The way one of the writers talked about it, he said the freasher zombies are able to move faster and almost run, while zombies that had been dead for a while move much slower. If some of them are people that had just turned into a zombie, it is not unreasonable for them to almost come to a sprint speed. Also, not taking into consideration, even though they are dead, does the zombification process pause the rigor proces? Most of the zombies however, have been pretty slow moving.

Rick, and wife were all overdoing it
I like Rick. I don't like his stereotypical horror movie Wife. Completely crazy and borderline schizo. Like I have said, if she is still walking around like a Deer in the headlights, I will forever hate her. She brings less to the show than any other character, including Andrea or Dale (as far as the show- not comics).
Carl doesn't bother me as much. The wife though- completely started having survival sex, then dropped the other dude like hotcakes with her self righteous attitude, and constantly walking around completely scared...
She should just have a colonoscapy bag with her at all times cause she constantly looks like she is wetting herself.

I'm not a writer but I know a little bit of high school science. You can't run without blood. Your legs technically sieze up. Cut off the blood to your leg for about 5 minutes then try to walk on it. Same effect.

Maybe then you'll quit c*nting up these threads.

Not defending her, but what did you expect her to do when Rick came back.

Well, technically the dead can't come back to life (yet). However, you do have a good point. However, they also aren't really relying on blood flow anymore, so I don't see why even if the legs did seize up, since they don't really feel pain, they could end up bending them some.
Regardless, It is all pretty debatable to might defy science some, but I don't see it as unreasonable for somebody who just changed into a zombie, to be able to at least jog.

Tell him? That would however bring a shitton of drama to the show. Hey hunny, I thought you were dead so me and your best friend did it. cool? cool.

The zombies running thing is bullshite. They are able to outwalk them in the comic repeatedly.

ha Rick wouldn't be able to do that.
Also, I've got a feeling that this country house will be overrun by walkers soon.
