Sorry for having an opinion?

And you're right, I don't post here a lot, but every time I do it seems like you're disliking something or it's boring you.
Perhaps you should pay more attention then, because I love lots of shite around here.
No idea where any of this is coming from, but now that we've gotten your obsession of my perceived negativity out of the way, can we get back to the episode?

the finale went with the theme they developed after the first three episodes of the season...
we saw the brutality, then they reeled it in with humanity (from both Ty and Beth).

Also Kirkman even said that after this episode, the theme of the show was going to change, and the group was going to be put in much different situations.
I'm interested to see how things move forward. I assume they will keep finding new refuges to seek out, as that's what it would take to survive a ZA, but also keep viewers interested.
Do we know that all of Terminus was eradicated, or is there a potential for some of them to still be out there?

they are done.

definitely, I think that with Morgan finding the map, this series is going to still be heading to DC or somewhere in that area

Going back a bit in the thread, but:
To me, that's the difference between a good show (or movie, book, etc.) and a great one. A great one will find a way to introduce conflict and drama while still keeping the characters acting organically to their character. A merely good show has to fall back on characters acting in ways they would not normally act for the sake of moving the plot in a certain direction.
It doesn't always have to be charcters acting with "common sense" but if common sense is part of a character or group of characters make up they shouldn't throw it away for the sake of artificially created tension.
That's why, even though I enjoy Walking Dead a lot and continue to watch it, for me it does not rise to the level of a great show.

I would be nice if the characters did common sense things, but if everything went right and played out just like it would in our heads, then there would be no conflict or drama...
Drama comes about from people making non-sensical decisions.

Haven't read the comics but with kirkman talking about a gay character showing up, cant help but wonder if this would be a Tara love interest.
Also if Noah will try to lead them to his home. One of the only directions I can see them going right now, and the need to move to keep everyone focused on something.

Man, when I saw Rick and Darryl crying - I fricking lost it.
Hot men in tears is sexy. But also sad.
And if Rick hadn't killed Lamson, they would have had a third person to trade for Noah and Beth wouldn't have gone cuckoo and stabbed Dawn, ergo Beth would have survived.
Every decisions has consequences, Rick.

none of the characters have portrayed any constant semblance of common sense, so I would think that the things that are happening shouldn't be surprising

Also, how bad does Michonne feel? She's all like "Maggie, Beth is alive," and then they get there and it's like "Well, that's my bad. She was alive.."

I do agree with you here...it's not as great, but good overall...although some episodes are up there in the greatness category

Pretty sure that from the previews of the second part of the season that group is still moving towards Richmond or DC. They'll meet up with Morgan.
Also, to the dude saying they only kill off scrubs, I really don't see Beth, Dale, Shane, Lori, Andrea, Herschel, as "scrubs". Rick is our main character, so they can't kill him off, but everyone of the people listed fell into the important supporting cast category. I left out T-Dogg because dude never said anything more than 2 lines per episode. Now, no one liked Lori or Andrea, but Dale and Herschel were the moral compasses of the group (watchya arse, Tyrese) and mostly well liked characters. At one point in time, a bunch of people in threads like this thought Shane should kill Rick because Shane was making the tough decisions in the correct ways that Rick is doing now. People viewed (I viewed) Beth as like my little sister in the apocalypse; she's damaged and not naive about shite going down, but there's still a sweetness and almost innocence to here that makes you want to protect her. Losing her broke my heart more than losing Herschel. At least (hopefully) we get see more arse-shots of Lauren Cohan...

I'll just agree to disagree on that one. I don't think Rick, Darryl, Shasha, heck, anybody but maybe Tyrese from this group would have continually trusted these cops after being shown they were not trust worty. Nor do I think they would have set up such a screwed up prisoner swap logistically and on the other groups turf/terms.
For that matter, I don't think Dawn would have risked her life in such a blatant manner for the sake of getting Noah back or "keeping up appearances" in front of the other cops. They had just softened her character only to have her act in such a mustache twirling way and renege on a deal in such a way that it was bound to blow up on her.

you see she would, and Beth finally realized that...she realized that if somebody didn't stop Dawn then she would constantly be hurting other survivors because Dawn needed someone to manipulate.
Also:
Beth comes to the understanding that Dawn is actually super manipulative, and uses other people to accomplish what she needs done.
Many of the other police are like this as well.
The problem is that this is becoming increasingly problematic. Dawn effectively uses Beth to get try and get Noah back.
Beth realizes that this cycle will only continue and more people will get hurt by Dawn and co. So she tried to stab Dawn
When Dawn shoots Beth and is killed by Daryl, the unnamed female cop steps up, telling everyone that Dawn's problems were her own, and that they don't represent the group. As such, there is no more need for violence.
Beth becomes a hero, saving not only Noah, but the other folks in the hospital (potentially), demonstrating how strong she really was.
In comparison, Dawn looks weak, and it is clear that she lost the respect of the other cops after shooting Beth in front of them.

But each one of those characters have all made questionable decisions in the past (and haven't learned from any of them for the most part ha).
so I don't see why you would expect any different.
Personally I think Rick was kind of like Dawn, he went with Tyreese's plan because he knew that if he did it his own way that he would lose cohesion within the group

Yeah, I think I heard Michonne saying in the "scenes from the next episode", say something like "we are 100 miles away" if that's from Atlanta we can do the math.

Just re-watched. Dawn had to have gun drawn because the instant Beth stabbed her, she was shot. But off camera, because her weapon was holstered in all the other scenes in hallway. No one could draw that fast.

I think you are right, and Beth knew she wasn't gonna kill her with those scissors, but was trying to get shite started because Dawn would never stop.
Beth was the wildcard of the group that day. Wildcard Bitches!

Can't say I feel bad for Beth. It was her fault she died. Very stupid move by her to die for nothing like that.
Beth is still hotter than Maggie.

I just want to say that one of the pleasures of my Sundays has been to let enough of the show pass to be able skip all of the commercials while I watch it and then come here to see the moment of the thread when the OH shite event happened and the aftermath.
I'll see you guys next year.
