Terrifier 3 - 2025...

Part 2 is still the best of the series in my opinion. This one is basically just gore porn.
Finally watched Terrifier 3 a couple of days ago. I thought this was the worst one, mainly because of the bizarre editing choices in the third act.
The director was obviously trying to address the criticisms of Terrifier 2 being far too bloated with a runtime of 138 min, but there's easily ~20min of story missing in the third act of Terrifier 3.
I also found this one to be less gory than 2? Nothing is going to top the bedroom season in 2

Alright, I’m back from time traveling to 1998 with news of a film you simply must check out. It’s a neat little college flick, might have even been a student film, but it rocks. Cool script, funny scenes and a cool thriller. The kicker you might ask? Well how about a very young Matthew Lillard and Keri Russell. Matthew Lillard rules in this film. Just a cool movie with a lot of twists and turns. Check it out!

That's a hidden gem from the late 90s
Also from the late 90s, Cherry Falls is a fun one.
If you move towards the mid-aughts, Cry Wolf is a must (great acting from Bon Jovi!

Ha, I actually saw Cherry Falls the other night! Jay Mohr man..yeesh, definitely a film with the worst slasher villain in history. Brittany Murphy saves it for sure.
Here’s another that is definitely along the same lines, Devil in the Flesh, starring Rose McGowan. It flips the typical schoolgirl with a crush on her teacher story on its head. Rose is a bad, bad bitch in this and, of course, hot as hell. Don’t frick with Debbie Strand!

Just watched a 90s gem, Amityville 1992: It’s About Time. Terrible title but a neat sequel that definitely is its own film and truly divorced from the rest of the Amityville films. The only very slight connection is a husband brings home an old clock he got from a salvage at an old house in New York. Of course, it’s the Amityville property and of course, the clock is haunted. The rest of the film is a character piece of a family torn apart by a very evil fricking clock. It’s honestly surprisingly good, well acted and takes the story in directions that are surprising. It’s not terribly scary, but still really neat. Check it out!

Come one, come all to a tiny theatre in the Appalachian mountains for a staging of that Scottish play, the tale of Macbeth. That is, until the curse strikes this merry band of aging thespians and brings about a performance for the ages. Cary Elwes stars in this wonderful horror comedy with a cast that is so real and with such cleverly carved out characters like Carol Kane, they whisk you away with a ghostly tale of laughs and chills. Honestly another hidden gem and one that films should strive to be. Great acting, great characters, unique takes on a timeless play and just enough magic to be extremely effective in its delivery. Please do enjoy, Ghost Light.
