So, Stan is undergoing a painful life change but begins to cope and be reborn until his father "bails him out" by removing one of the biggest obstacles, something parents can't help but do because they can't stand to see their kids suffer. Stan is no longer forced to change. Things go back to the way they were before, but he's too empty to cope. Wow. Trey Parker's insight continues to impress me.
