Yes yes lonesome dove is still king but this shite is just fresh. I can't stop surfing the net for more info on this feud. I wanna plan a road trip with my "pap" to go hike and explore tug river area (not Romania, but Romania does look damn beautiful). Anyone found a website that explains why it was filmed out of the country? Yes, I'm sure it had to boil down to the all mighty dollar but eastern Europe is far and hard to believe it could be that cheaper taking the entire crew there for 4 months.

The Hatfields are a ruthless bunch. Led by a ruthless deserter. Hard to pull for them.
But, the McCoys seem to be pussies for the most part. Hard to pull for them too.
If not for "Bad" what's his name, the McCoys might be extinct.

The Hatfields are cowards and bullies, and the McCoys are good people who are standing up to them.
With regards to the quality of this miniseries: I'm making the unilateral decision in our household to protect this miniseries in our DVR. Thus far, the only protected recordings are Super Bowl XLIV and related events...

Really? I feel that outside of Jim Vance Hatfield, who is truly psychotic, the escalation to violence has almost been entirely on the McCoy side. The Hatfields are mean bastards, but the McCoys are stupid, brutish thugs.
As far as the series is concerned, the true triggering event when this became an outright war was when the McCoy boys murdered Ellison Hatfield without provocation. Before then, it was two families who hated each other – that’s when it became a “shooting war”.
