I didn't think it was cumbersome at all. All those climaxes you're talking about kept it exciting for me.

Also, you're theory on the joker's scenes being cut is way off base. I read on interview with C. Nolan and he only films the scenes he know has a good shot of making the final cut. He only trimmed off about 10 mins for the final version. Whey would he changes his ways if Ledger was still alive?

I saw TDK on IMAX last night and thought the movie sucked. Even with IMAX there was no improvement. How many drums does it take to blow something up? So that's where all the gas has gone to make the price above 4 bucks a gallon.
"light at the end of the tunnel" Gotham didn't look the worst for wear. Lame "corruption" - I know a few cities that would better Gotham.
Gotham General Hospital looked like a clinic - throw some extra floors on that puppy and make it look like a big dog.
Batman Begins was so much better.

It didn't for me. It made the last 30-40 minutes quite boring, actually.

Well, making movies is too expensive to shoot stuff you don't think will make the final cut. But sometimes when you get in the editing room, and you see that the story doesn't flow. And I don't think it did. The structure--whether that be due to editing or the actual script--just didn't work for me. I kept wanting it to end.

that's what she said

Oh yes... they also stole the idea of the Joker's face (mouth scars) from "Nip/Tuck" in the "Carver" episodes, not impressive.

The last 30 to 40 minutes was the best part. When it comes out on video you will like it a lot more because you can watch it in parts if you like (the lord of the rings movies were like this for me). IMO you couldn't cut any of it out.

I thought it was about 30 minutes too long. There were too many climaxes--they put too much into it and it felt cumbersome to me. It was very good, but it didn't flow well enough to be great.

Some would call those "climaxes,"..."action sequences." They're kind of important for a blockbuster comic book movie.

FAIL

You think a professional, ego driven Hollywood director is going to sacrifice his name just because somebody needs some posthumous screen time? No way. Besides the Joker was the best thing about the movie, definitely not overused.

yeah this bothers me too, they could at least give some kind of explanation. that's not a natural voice

I don't know if this has been answered or if anyone gives a shite, but in Begins during the scene where he is designing the suit, he inserts something that could be a voice modulator with a little microphone into the right ear of his cowl.

Pretty sure it's some kind of microphone or radio, not for his voice but to listen in on people talking.

For example, outside of one of Rachel's trials where he's dressed as a homeless man in Begins. Right after that scene he puts the device in the ear of his suit.

If you don't have the $8.50 to see it now, you probably shouldn't have seen it the first time.

is Ledger THAT much better than Jack was as the joker?

Funny I was thinking when I left the movie that if there is actually anyone that still thinks Nicholson's Joker was good, this should blow that perception away.

You seriously thought Jack's Joker was good?
