Didn't it used to be against the ruled for HOH to tell the 2 he was nominating that they were being nominated? Maybe they threw that rule out since most of them found a way to roundabout tell them. Or maybe that's what Steve did.
I just remember one season when a HOH told someone he/she was going on the block, and the penalty was he/she couldn't nominate that person.

I guess so.
I think it was Rachel and Brendan's season when Rachel told someone she was putting him/her up, so they said she couldn't put that person up.

It's the "re-nom" rule. You cannot tell the person if you're using the veto and putting up in their place, but it is not really enforced, obviously.

Yea, I believe she was. If Julia wins the veto (big if), Steve would be smart to put Vanessa up instead of JMac. I don't know if he would do it though.

No crap. He would be an idiot to basically be sending JMac and letting that foursome stick around (although Vanessa would also be absolutely stupid to not take Liz out in final 5, but Steve can't rely on that).

That's what him and JMac said before the noms, but who really know at this point. Steve is paranoid as hell at the moment, curled up in the HOH bed with his teddy bear wondering if JMac is some sort of America's Player twist throwing comps (he's not going to turn on Jmac or anything, he's just being stupid). I think we'll have to wait until after veto to see who the target becomes.
