He isnt but Derrick has a great mind for this game. The way he sees the game is unlike most. He is damn good. If he goes on to win who says Dan and Wills way of doing it was better?

I agree with you but I just like to point out the other end of arguments

After Cody got 2 tickets...why would Donny and Nicole both sit out?

Yeah, I get that if you're off you're out. But they had seen that everyone else was passing on every turn. You'd think with their game on the line, they'd at least go for it and take a chance.

I like Donny. He may be the most genuinely nice person this show has ever had. But, am I the only one who didn't care for the fact that he didn't want to do Team America Missions that would hamper his game yet wanted to make that particular mission solely about saving him?

Derrick is definitely the best player this season, at least socially. Just don't think he's on the same level as Dan or Will. Part of that is I enjoy the drama those two were able to stir up, yet somehow stay above the fray. I mean, Will told the house during the POV ceremony when he was on the block that he hated them and to vote him out...and they didn't.

I agree. But its a different style. whos to say whats better. Derrick has made everyone think they are his #1 ally.

Like I said I agree hes not on that level but I dont think he is that far off. Dude is playing a character. Thats not him

What is it that makes his game so great? He's a floater with social skills.

The other mission could've hurt his game and this mission could've saved him. I don't see the problem.

You wanted him to just sit around all week and wait to be voted out? It was his last ditch effort to stay. He didn't get obnoxious about pushing but he gave it a shot. Good for him.

He's been the most powerful person in the house for over a month, he controls who goes home for the most part, all without winning hardly anything or getting blood on his hands. Just because you dislike him personally doesn't mean you can't recognize he's playing a hell of a game.

He has dictated every move in the house after the super alliance was created all while not ever drawing attention on himself. Honestly not backdooring Frankie this week was his only real mistake. He tried earlier, but production stepped in to save the day. (Pinned that one solely on Zach) Being a good BB player does not mean paying a certain way or stirring up a certain amount of drama. Derek immediately sized every person in the house up and adapted to attack each and every one of them. He is the Alpha of the house in disguise as a Beta and no one has seen it except Donnie who didn't have an alliance to do anything about it. I guarantee Derek plays totally differently had it been another cast.

You realize Will never won a comp right?

Dan didnt win much.

He has made everyone in the house think he has their best interest. No one is gonna put him up but also hes gonna get their vote. I dont see how that cant be appreciated. He has played puppet master. You could say it was the easy person to vote out. But Victoria was the easiest to vote out for weeks and he kept her. He saw her for what she was wayyy before anyone else did

Completely agree. The way he sees it is that Frankie wont put him up. Donnie or Nicole will. He thinks it needed one more week.

And he may be right. I just think Frankie, as opposed to Donnie and Nicole, has the bigger chance of flipping the house against him. He is going to be in trouble if Frankie or Christine win HoH next week.

Donnie or Nicole deserve to go home after that POV comp...anyone with any kind of strategic mind should have figured out that you had to play that last one. Plus I believe Nicole bid the highest amount on the last one and would have had a great chance to win if she had stayed.

As for Derrick, while his game is clearly the most dominant (Frankie is a close second IMO), I just can't get around to liking him. Maybe he is genuine, but he seems completely fake and like he is playing up to TV too much. What seperates his game from a Will or Dan is charisma and likability, which I dont think he has much of.

I always start to dislike this show around this point but there should be some fireworks soon with everyone having to turn on eachother. I swear if I see skittles determine this game from here on out, I am out.

How? What makes his game so great? Because he stays neutral and presents himself as the cool dad? His social game is great, but all he has done is throw ideas out without forcing his opinions on everyone. Again, a stronger house with more people like Donny would slam his game. It's hard since he says so little, but I would have gone after him and Cody if I were Hayden and Nicole on D.E. night. Instead, they went after Frankie and Christine when it should have been obvious who it was who stabbed them in the back.

No backbone in this house. If there was, his game would have been called out long before day 70.

It's really not though. Derek would have already disposed of Frankie if production wouldn't have saved him. Frankie has been singled out multiple times by different players. Derek is only seen by Donny.

Everyone knows their game and people are on the lookout. Zach was more like Will and Dan and he was on the block quite a bit. I get the likability portion, hell I don't even like him, but his game is legit.

I and others have already told you within the last 15 minutes.

quote:

Because he stays neutral

The fact that he is considered neutral, while all the while pulling all the strings in the house and directing what others do...yeah, I'd say that's part of it.

quote:

His social game is great, but all he has done is throw ideas out without forcing his opinions on everyone

And everyone listens..and does what he suggests. For the most part.

quote:

a stronger house with more people like Donny would slam his game

So you're downplaying Derrick's game because he's not in an all star season? He's in this season, with these people. You can't say "well if he was playing with a strong cast he'd suck!" You're speaking in hypotheticals. What's not hypothetical is what's actually happening in the season he's in. And he's dominating.

quote:

No backbone in this house. If there was

If if if if. Who cares "what if"...he's actually IN this season, with THESE people. That's the ONLY thing you can judge him on.

Backdoor Frankie and Donny/Nicole win HOH and you have a situation where Donny can easily pull over Christine. Probably not Caleb though imo. Derrick should've trusted in his ability to keep Caleb in check. Vic/Caleb vs Christine/Nic and Donny breaks the tie and sends Derrick home.

If you're always thinking 5 steps ahead as Derrick does, it makes more sense to send Donny home and trust that he can manipulate Frankie or Christine if they get HOH. There's no working Donny at this point.

Exactly, if there's any pushback at all, then he gives up on the idea.

I see what you're saying. I'm not going to give him credit for being a great player in a weak house. He can't help his competition is weak, but I don't see anything in his game that is new or should be considered new to this game. It's boring, but it works. Credit to him for being a nontarget, but staying under the radar by not winning and having others fear you is exactly what got Amanda as far as it did.

I agree. Derrick is playing a good game right now. As for Zach, while I liked him the most, I think he was a loose cannon without much strategy behind his game. If he would have came back to the game, he said his target would have probably been Victoria....
