It's kinda how the industry works. You have a hit show, the network greenlights your next show.
Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks are pretty proven talents. It's great seeing them in a show that let's them flesh out their characters and show more range.
I think some people are just spoiling the show for themselves and trying to spoil it for other fans by sitting there anxiously waiting for it to catch up with Breaking Bad or show a climactic dessert shootout every episode. It's not that show. BCS set a different tone right from the beginning and what they're trying to do is done very well. It is stretching out really slow at times, but I think it's just irrelevant and flat out stupid to keep comparing a show - in SEASON 3 - to Breaking Bad. 3 seasons in, which means it's passed not just a greenlight but two renewals -it is a different series.
If all you want to talk about is Breaking Bad and how this show isn't Breaking Bad, then just start another thread for your 15th rewatch of Breaking Bad. I'm sure you'll notice some amazing new details you completely missed the last 14 times Walt threw the pizza on the roof.

On an unrelated note, I'm watching the RARHOF induction right now, and when Alex Lifeson was inducting Yes, I was thinking "holy frick, he looks AND sounds just like Chuck", lol...
