I mean once he has stolen it, how hard would it be to turn it into cash?
For me it all comes down to the length of time kettleman was stealing the money. To move 1.6M and convert it into cash, or even a portion of it, requires a sufficent period of time so eyebrows aren't raised at the bank.
Then again I would have assumed there would be a system of oversights in place on a department that deals with revenue.

I was referring to his bank becoming suspicious and reporting the transactions not the city of Albuquerque. You can't move around large sums without it being reported. He would have had to make smaller deposits and withdrawls, thus the time element.

I think one thing that you are overlooking here is the assumption that Kettleman was doing this all by himself. There is a decent chance that that other people were in on it.

How many out there called it when they saw the camping tent decal on window?

Of course that's true. We have virtually no details to work from other than the Kettleman's camp out with a bag of cash.

Not the local police. Family goes missing, definitely don't search the woods one mile behind their house.

How many out there called that is was the afternoon when their watch said it was 2:00 P.M. today?

Before anyone suggested that they had staged their disappearances I thought they might be hiding in the boat. When they showed the camping sticker, it was obvious.

Too bad they met Jimmy and not Saul. Jimmy found them and made them face justice (even if it's for selfish reasons). Saul would have called a guy to disappear them.

It's hilarious that, even though he's been forcefully kidnapped by two masked strangers with weapons, tied up and put in front of an already dug grave in the middle of nowhere..he is relieved to not be in the situation he thinks he is in.

Something tells me that its Mrs. K. that is really behind it.

I believe it will overlap BB, I've read a coue things that said the series will explore events during and after BB. It'll be interesting to see how they jump around with the timeline if that's the case because so far Better Call Saul is set in 2002, which is 7 years before the timeline of Breaking Bad starts.

Pretty solid start to the show. Thought it was gonna be a little more comedy, but not mad at the results. Odenkirk is killing it.

I'm glad there isn't more comedy than there is

Im fine with it, but it was originally pitched as a half-hour comedy. Glad they went the route of hour long drama.
