I went back and checked because I thought Nacho was they guy Tuco beat to death at the end of season 1, but it was another guy, Chico or Flipo or something.

The actor that plays Nacho was never in an episode of BB.

LINK

I'd recommend doing what I did and blurring your vision while you scroll down his page. I'd rather not know how many episodes of BCS he's in. Or just take my word for it.

Loving the show so far, and as others have said, I'm glad it has taken the dramatic direction with a comedic tilt rather than full blown comedy. Incidentally, I scored a beaker from Walt's lab in a Breaking Bad auction earlier this week. Can't wait to put it in a shadow box with some BB photos and hang it in my gameroom!

Uh huh. Explain the reasoning behind placing a Pontiac Aztek and a mid 1990s Caddilac. It's been proven Cunnabon didn't pay a dime or place their product. So, what exactly don't I get?

I'm about to start it, have the first 3 saved.

Without reading the whole thread, how is it?

As good as everyone thought?

It's really good so far. The first episode starts a little slow. Definitely a lot of time is spent setting the tone, but from the last 15 minutes of the first episode, it has been fantastic.

First episode is a little slow laying out things, but it picks up. Next two episodes are great.

It's exceeded my expectations, and I've really enjoyed it so far.

Awesome .

Is it much more of a comedy than drama?

Or a little bit of both?

It's definitely more of a drama.

It's essentially "breaking bad-eque" if that makes sense, only with the focus being on Saul instead of a walt. There is probably MORE humor than in BB, simply because we have more Saul, but overall the show is still very much a drama IMO.

Season 1 of this is already just as good as breaking bad season 1

It's just like Breaking Bad in that respect. You laugh sometimes, but the show is definitely a drama.

Better. If Breaking Bad had not improved every season, people would be very critical of Season 1 in my opinion.

Just to play devil's advocate...

With BCS we already know a shite ton about Saul. I mean we know everything that happens to him over a several year time span. We also know who Tuco is.

With BB we didn't know a single person so had to learn from scratch.

Oh I agree. I think even if Better Call Saul somehow became better than Breaking Bad (very unlikely), we'd have to give tons of credit to Breaking Bad for the set-up. Sequels and spin-offs are always benefited in this way.
