Before I forget, get back to me when P2 can write his own meaningful tunes, which this guy does an excellent job of. The nut did not fall far from the tree in his case. The electric version on his CD released last month is even better, and the entire release is excellent, with a little Memphis/Muscle Shoals/NO vibe to it. Harlem River Blues CD was good, and he upped his game with this one. Hopefully he doesn't end up like A. Winehouse.

Phillip doing Usher was great 2nd best performance of the competition after Elise doing Led Zep

Joshua should of been gone already his limp wrist, thigh slapping, churched up act has gotten so so so so so old.

I think there is a clear top 3 at this point
1. Jessica(she more than anybody else has the ability to change momentum in a given week, her voice just makes everyone else look bad)
2. Skylar(The best performer by far)
3. Phillip(most consistent)

Personally I think Elise is the best but she has the weakest fanbase.

Well now that I am back from my trip, I was able to watch the whole results who on DVR. I appreciate the play by play by everyone while I was riding on the interstate to Florida on Thursday.

A few Thoughts and observations. I have to say that I was completely off in my assessment of Colton and votes. I assumed he was safe and had a pretty loyal and built in fan base established. Even though he had a bad week, I would have never guessed he would have been the one to go home. I read somewhere over the weekend when I had some free time that the producers have been warning him about losing people and distancing himself with all of his Christian references in interviews and especially on his twitter account. Not to mention his ridiculous out fit choices recently. I still am shocked that he was voted off this week though. Totally didn't pick it. But am not disappointed at all considering who was the other bottom two. (More on that in a bit).

Jimmy made it very clear who his/the show's favorites are for the final three with his commentary on Thursday's show. He was definitely pushing Phillip, Jessica, and Joshua. He also pushed Skylar some but his comments week to week make me believe that he thinks she will be fine regardless of Idol and that he wants the other ones to win.

I am totally shocked that Hollie was not only bottom 3 but she was bottom 2 this week. I know I have said this each time she has been in the bottom 3 but this past week she did very well. Then watching the reactions of the judges when Colton was sent home showed that they wanted Hollie to go home instead especially Randy Jackson. I have voiced my displeasure at the judges before and I hate them with a passion because of their unjust judgements and behavior this season. That just adds to it.

Also I think it was Iluv that said during the play by play of the show that Hollie had a cute outfit on. That was one of my top 3 favorite looks she has had this season. I could choose so many but my favorites are that look, the outfit she wore at the top 8 elimination show when deandre got kicked off and the short pink dress and heels from "son of a preacher man". I can also add that I loved her look in the Top 25 "reflection" performance.
I guess I should admit that I haven't not liked the way she has looked on the show

I might upset a few on here with this but I definitely think Colton shouldn't have gone home this week. It should have been Elise and it wasn't even close. I have no idea what is keeping her in. I don't have a problem with her like I do with Bebe but in that bottom 3, It should have been Elise. (This isn't a homer opinion, I'm not a Colton "fan". Just think he has more talent and a lot more promise than Elise.)
I'm also not sold on Phillip. But that's a whole another discussion because I think he should still be in. I see why he is liked though and his appeal.
This is what is great about this season. Everyone has different opinions it seems. Keeps it interesting, especially the discussion.

I have no idea how it will go this week with Queen. This could be a difficult week for all of them. But Im worried with the voting results recently that I could be disappointed very soon. ( )
