Not sure if anyone has watched this. I really enjoy those classic teen dramas like One Tree Hill, The OC, Gossip Girl etc..

This show is from a huge book series and I’ve never read the books, but the show was phenomenal. It’s the most similar show to those classic coming of age shows than anything I’ve seen in a while. Good chemistry between the actors, good writing and there’s not a bunch of insane woke crap like most new shows.

I’m only a few episodes in and was encouraged that the flaming homo friend seemed to have disappeared, but alas…..they then had an episode full of figs. It was nasty. Really disappointed me.

I do really like the two leads though.

I watched it. My 23 year old daughter is into the book series so I watched because of that. The main girl looks like a young Brooke Shields to me.

I thought the first 3 episodes were kind of cheesy and they tried to force some of the sex stuff but the final 5 were great especially when it got deeper with the abusive dad and rape stuff

Halfway through the season and I enjoy it for what it is.
I enjoy youth aimed rom coms lol.
I love all of the tropes they incorporate from teen roms from the 80’s-00’s especially when the main girl declared her love singing to the main guy. Basically was a call back to when Heath Keger sang “Can’t take my eyes off of you” from 10 things.
