Obi-Wan Kenobi - Episodes 1&2 Discussion Thread.

This is it, we’re just hours of way from the premiere. I’m debating staying up to watch. I hope it lives up to the hype.
One thing I’m worried about is a bait and switch with Vader. If we get like 10 mins of Vader the whole series I’ll be upset.

Like Rogue One, I think Vader is more impactful in brief sightings, much like I don't want to see all of the shark in Jaws or having a flood light shining on the alien in Alien.
So I'm fine with 10-ish minutes of an impactful Vader/Kenobi encounter near or in the finale. Plus, there are tons of available characters, still living in this timeline, that'd I'd be equally be excited to see Kenobi bump into (Maul, Cad Bane, Jabba, Palpatine, Ahsoka, etc.)
I'll probably be up at 2am anyway, so I'm likely gonna jump on these episodes.

Yeah, only episodes 1 & 3 of The Book of Boba Fett were disappointing, and both were directed by Rodriguez. I'd argue the Filoni/Favareau episodes 5 and 6 were some of the best SW stories ever filmed. The finale (episode 7, directed by Rodriguez) seemed to underwhelm mainly bc it followed eps. 5 & 6, but it had a lot of great elements that were smothered by a scene of the crayon mod squad. But, clearly, the series as a whole was not "AWFUL".

The first two episodes are out now, about to fire it up.
It’ll be tomorrow for me before I watch, I went to get my son and he’s already asleep. As bad as I want, I can’t watch it without him.
