I just got out of this movie. It fricking sucked big, veiny cocks.

Kinda want to see it now

So on the above recommendation, I did finally see it. And I agree that it sucked big veiny cocks.

I imagine it excelled in the technical aspects of filmmaking. But It was a slog. Felt like it was four hours. Much of the acting felt off, like it was intended for the stage and not a movie, esp from Willem Dafoe. Absurd overdramatized dialogue. Just a drag of a movie

frick that movie

I read an interview from Egger and he said he wanted Orlok to look like a noble Transylvanian... Almost all men from that time period had a mustache

And a coat with really long sleeves.

He also said he watched 'Dracula: Dead and Loving It" to see kind of what not to do in a vampire movie. Example: In most movies the locals all warn the main character not to go to the castle and he goes anyway. In this movie the main character can't understand the locals because they didn't speak the same language.

Finally watched it, this one kicked arse.

Incredible sense of building dread to the very end.

Pissed I didn’t see it in theaters, sound design was elite.

Everyone was great in this.

Damn near perfect movie. Only thing I thought they could’ve changed was telling us the plan beforehand at the end.

I watched it alone, late at night, during a storm on a 110 inch tv and turned it up. I couldn’t sleep after, the movie stayed on my mind the whole next day. That voice was stuck in my head.

Yep. One of those movies that just absolutely nailed the sense of foreboding and just overall tenseness.
