question for both SFP and SEK
SFP - if it turns out she is dressed like this (or similarly) for the majority of the movie, regardless of climate, will you come back and acknowledge you were wrong?
SEK - if it turns out she is in daisy dukes and a tight top with her titties hanging out for the rest of the movie, will you come back and acknowledge YOU were wrong?

I think she's pretty but not a great actress deserving of leads in major shows. If you looked at the main Game of Thrones cast, she was by far the worst actress of all the main characters.

Not to be that guy and it’s coming off as me stanning for this woman, but what does her divorcing her husband have to do with casting her in a movie?
Unless she is mentally unstable and can’t reliably be on set, who gives a shite?

She’s a bad cast for Lara Croft.
Doesn’t fit the aesthetics or physicality.
Besides GoT & garbage as Jean Grey , what’s she done to earn her such a role?
She’s not as bad as Ezra Miller (Flash) but it’s not a good look.

I'm not a huge fan of Sophie Turner.
It felt like she regressed on GoT as an actress. Originally I just presumed that the writing had gotten worse, but then I saw her in the X-Men movies and I just don't see the appeal anymore.

Not calling her unattractive. She's quite fine. But her features and (to date) acting doesn't lend itself to making for a convincing Lara Croft. Because we've seen enough versions of her to have a basic concept of her character.

It’s really this simple. I don’t need to know the weather patterns of northern forests to see that this is bad casting.
If it turns out to be a great movie then great. But we already know from the source material what Lara Croft is supposed to look like, and we can see with our own lying eyes that Sophie Turner doesn’t fit the look.
And see? We don’t only get mad about race swaps. We just want good casting even when it’s white folk involved.
