I know that, but I thought we could discuss the trailers and see how many will go.

There's been a thread every time James Gunn farted, where have you been?

From trailers and interviews, what it looks like.

Pros
- seems to have a hopeful tone
- casting looks good
- Gunn’s track record

Cons
- cinematographer from The Flash
- Superman comes off as immature and whiny in the “interview” trailer
- too many characters?
- Gunn says he’s going to nerf Superman’s abilities.

What say you?

Was it Sentrius who use to start the "Official" superhero threads every time a movie would come out? He didn't want anyone seeing the movie before him and starting a review thread, so he'd make those preemptive official topic threads.

You kind of have to.

The Justice League animated series had him WAY weaker than his comic counterpart. Superman at full power, in a realistic movie, is never in danger by anything other than another Kryptonian or Doomsday, and logically any battle at that tier would make the devastation from Man of Steel look like a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

So, it just depends on how much "nerfing" he's going to do on if it's an issue or not.

I disagree, Superman’s supposed to be physically superior in every way. The conflict for Superman is always a moral one and that’s what modern superhero writers can’t nail down correctly. You don’t need to nerf his abilities, instead you need to come up with tough moral choices for him to test the limits of his character and find ways he can overcome his human faults.
