No, the writers phrased the comment that way on purpose. Jimmy KNEW before the show aired who the shooter was. There was absolutely ZERO reason to imply the guy was MAGA. So it's utterly senseless to interject any of that crap about MAGA not wanting the shooter to be one of them. It makes NO sense he'd be further right wing person to Charlie. It's lunacy.

His statement began with “over the weekend we learned the MAGA crowd” blah blah blah. Problem is the killer turned himself in mid Friday and the txt messages were read Friday afternoon so the motive was known well before the weekend. The weapon and casings were found even before that . He lied, people claiming otherwise are lying.
