Wouldn't happen. Nintendo actually likes its IP and wants to keep it true to their intent.

Hmm...you would think they'd give Mario an Italian accent.

Not if you've ever watched a Mario TV show you wouldn't. They clearly want Mario to be a guy from Brooklyn who is of Italian descent.

Games would tell you this too. Mario is from "New Donk City" which looks a lot like NYC in the most recent game.

Why wouldn’t he be? There’s an entire haunted mansion series of games where the entire plot is that he’s a scared, chicken-shite little wuss. It’s been his biggest (only?) character trait for a LONG time.

Who is planning on seeing this in Dolby Digital? Worth it to do so?

Thanks, a-hole. Now I have to try and find something else to be outraged about. It gets exhausting.

This please. After the first trailer, I didn’t have much interest. But after the last couple I got pretty excited about it. The characters and scenery looks great and it looks like there will be plenty of adult humor in there to keep the parents engaged.

Saw with the family I’d give it a 7 out of 10 not a lot of adult humor and the story was lacking that being said for a kids movie it was good. Visuals were amazing and a lot of nods to the games both old and new.

That makes me sad. I was under the impression it might’ve been different

Took my 5 year old daughter today. She loved it. I thought it was pretty good, as someone said not alot of adult humor, but as someone who grew up in 80s/90s had some good nostalgia.

7 out of 10. Movie went by fast too.
