Also, can't Supes read minds?

Nope. Not the current version, anyways. I think Silver Age version could. But then Silver Age Superman pretty much had whatever powers were necessary to resolve any situation.

I hope this movie is a success because I do want to see a DC universe,, but all these clips look so damn cheesy.

Yeah, but c'mon... Superman has a dog. That's just... cool. Everyone should have at least one dog.

Is this movie supposed to be more for a younger audience? Kids? A lighthearted family movie?

My literal initial comments after the teaser trailer

This looks like a superhero movie from prior to X-Men in 2000 (and especially prior to Batman Begins).

This works with a silly comedy like Suicide Squad.

It's going to be a test of what audiences want.

Big test

I haven't watched any Superman interpretations since Christopher Reeve, but is this normal now to have Superman depicted with emotional outbursts and a lack of self control?

In the Reeve original, didn't Superman throw a tantrum and spin the Earth backwards in time to save a chick he had the hots for?

Not sure if I'd call it a tantrum when Superman's coworker and love interest is killed in an earthquake caused by his arch nemesis. He got super-pissed.

Deadpool “I’m an X-man”
Negasonic “Trainee!”

Same vibes.

Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most...human.
