The trailer room scene was sickening.

because it was extremely believable the way it unfolded.

Bump one of the threads or this one when you watch it. I watched it and Wind River the same week I think and it just blew me away. Probably the best movie I'd seen in 5-6 years.

I have a few friends that love it. I just struggle to get into Costner movies/shows

I’m assuming you’ve seen Sicario

1 is probably the best out of the Sheridan films (also helps that one has Denis Villeneuve directing)

Sicario 2 is a cool movie/sequel just not on the same level as the others.

never expected the hapless Deputy Chief Hale from SoA to have such directing chops.

his movies have been great, but he also started off Yellowstone, as a feather in his cap.

He’s been more of a writer. Only directed Wind River and some episodes of Yellowstone

Excellent film. I was disappointed when it wasn't nominated for Best Picture for 2017

Got bogged down with all of the Weinstein stuff. Was released right as or right after it all went down so that doomed it since his distribution company distributed it

Taylor Sheridan was the writer/director, he also wrote Hell or High Water and Sicario. I recommend basically everything I've seen that he's been involved in.

Agreed but he’s also co-creator / writer for Yellowstone. First two seasons were great but the wheels are about to fall off of it now.

watched it last night

great flick. i do have one plot hole/question

[spoilers]

since he and his brother created a couple of scenes in the indian casino and walked around with massive piles of chips; how come that wasn't used as evidence to prove his guilt at the end? i totally get the old-timers and waitress not ratting him out but is the fact its on an indian reservation protect them from surveillance footage and talking to witnesses? ...or did the rangers just not know they went to the casino at all?

Yeah Indian reservation isn’t giving another states local police department access to their footage just so they can solve a bank robbery

Plus a department of small size probably doesn’t have the resources to track down what casino they went to and then when exactly they went to it etc. that would take a lot of authority and time that they probably don’t have

The robberies were in Texas, the casino was in Oklahoma.

They were never suspects until the last one, so there was no way the Rangers knew they were there.

The only party that knew about the casino (the bank) refused to cooperate with the Rangers because they were making so much income off the oil trust.

That one scene is fricking terrible though. I mean I couldn’t get it out my head. Didn’t sleep well that night.
