Pretty solid movie and with a couple of avengers in it I'm guessing it must have been pretty popular back when it came out.

Thanks to the MTV board for another solid rec.

That scene where they met the pipeline crew was intense.

Great movie. The movies and shows that take place up in remote areas of the northwest and Big Sky Country really make you wonder about all the brutal self justice actions that take place. Can get lost and never heard from again REAL quick.

Great flick. I should probably check it out again, been a minute.

Taylor Sheridan was the writer/director, he also wrote Hell or High Water and Sicario. I recommend basically everything I've seen that he's been involved in.

If you haven't watched Hell or High Water yet, it absolutely must be next on your list.

Excellent film. I was disappointed when it wasn't nominated for Best Picture for 2017. Elizbeth Olsen is clearly the most talented Olsen.

Truth.

The trailer room scene was sickening.

Pretty much everything Taylor Sheridan touches is gold.

Hell or High Water
Wind River
Sicario 1/2

Hell of a start to a career

yep. Sheridans next 2 movies sounds right up my alley as well.

I can already tell you this movie should prolly win an Oscar for Cinematography just based on that description and his resume

I guess I'll be the one to mention that he also created Yellowstone and writes/directs a few of the episodes.

I would like to see him go in a different route with his next film. But yes, this is a solid opening act.

never expected the hapless Deputy Chief Hale from SoA to have such directing chops.

his movies have been great, but he also started off Yellowstone, as a feather in his cap.

Hostiles and Wind River were my two favorite movies of 2017 and they both flew under the radar.

Almost mentioned it but I haven’t watched it so I can’t really speak on it’s quality

I don’t mind directors having their niche/individual style that they don’t try to mess with too much

There’s a lot of directors I love that have just a huge gap in their work because they tried to make stuff more main stream or more tent poles or tried to change up their style

I was rewatching Veronica Mars with my daughter recently and when he showed up in season 2 as a member of the local Irish gang I had to double check IMDb.
