Better than Paramount buying it. Less chance of manipulation from the government.

If the purchase by another streamer is inevitable, I would prefer Apple. This is slightly better than Paramount because their app works but it is far from ideal. Netflix with HBO will be a $75 bundle.

Because most of their films are garbage. Expect big price hikes. Also, Netflix is streaming not theatrical.

Maybe they'll bring back Michigan J. Frog.

And even bigger delays between seasons. Those Harry Potter kids are going to look like Harry’s shot out parents from the movies by the time they finish in 2056.

The consolidation of studios in general sucks but with the business model completely changing is inevitable

I’m all for it, HBO max is garbage because it’s doesn’t keep its original content. Impractical jokers is gone, most of the dc animated movies etc. Netflix wouldn’t sell that shite, it’d keep it under one roof

Oh I agree. It's inevitable. The film industry will suffer even more with all this consolidation

You have a point. Netflix’s library of one-season shows the algorithm canceled cannot be matched.

These big production companies are getting eaten alive. Even the stuff that makes profit is nowhere near what it used to be. Instead of people making excuses and acting like everything is fine, maybe they should look at the real issue. People said this would happen.

I will say that Netflix has been a little bit more lenient on what is on their platform. With their comedy specials. They’re much more wide open.

The issue with all continues to be a disdain for their audience.
Look no further than how the Witcher progressed on Netflix.
They let a showrunner and writers who hated the source material run the show.

They have quite a bit to fix first.

Yeah, I completely agree. They have some issues with their creative process. Big issues. Maybe some of the people from other big companies that are falling will go to Netflix. They can get away from people like Zack Snyder lol. But they’re gonna have to be aware of their audience.

The fact that a literal HBO streaming service doesn’t have all of the HBO original content is maddening. Makes absolutely no sense. I have no idea why they changed that considering what’s what it was when it was first created. HBOMax and HBOgo used to have everything, I believe.

Yeah, Larry Ellison who owns Netflix wants CNN which is held under Warner Bros/Time Warner.

Who would’ve thought this little mail in DVD company would pend up owning CNN. It started with taking out Blockbuster.
