I think I’ll just unsubscribe. I think I’m paying $7.99 right now. $14 isn’t worth what they provide imo fwiw imho. Aren’t they doing better than ever?

Just looked through the details and they now have 3 options:

Basic: 7.99/month, no hd quality and you can only watch it on one tv at a time

Standard: 10.99/month, standard HD, 2 tv’s at a time

Premium: 13.99, UHD, 4 screens at a time.

Guess they are trying to crackdown on everyone using one account? Oh well, some businesses never learn.

$14.99 is probably the cap. HBO is $15 and Hulu Plus is around that.

It’s still worth it though. Just for the original programming.

Just saw your edit.

Basically going up $1 per package. I’m paying $9.99 for the middle package.

And I’ve always had 2 screens at a time with unlimited devices.

That whole package thing is new to me. I mean they aren’t even adding anything worthwhile to justify the premium package

I mean no, unless you absolutely have to watch stuff in 4K and have a big family all watching different things.

They need a bigger library and options to rent films/shows.

Depends on what quality you want to watch. HDR shows are available in the uhd package

That would be a great idea for them. The option to rent a new release would be one less place you’d have to go.

They’re still in massive amounts of debt, although it’s on purpose

It’s $10.99 for most people. If you don’t see the value in that then just be a part time subscriber and catch up on their shows you like a few times a year.

I would like to call out dumbass posters DarthRebel, LSURussian, Taxing Authority, and ShortyRob for this. It’s because of Net Neutrality coming to an end. The internet is over.

Thread title is misleading, that's for the ultimate package. Now that I know there's a lower tier I might switch to that. HD isn't worth $3 a month to me.

I'm getting close to getting rid of this and just go in full on with the Hulu.

You talking about basic HD and not 4k uhd? Because not a chance in hell I could pick the standard def package to save just 3 bucks, that would drive me nuts

But if comparing HD to 4k then I could maybe understand that

I’ll be cancelling Netflix then. My wife and I will just use her parents account. I hope more follow suit. Hulu is superior anyway, way more TV shows.

It’s not a click bait thread. I never heard about their packages and have been paying 7.99 for as long as I can remember. I turn Netflix on today and it said they’ll be increasing their monthly price to $14, end of story. I had to do some reserach and figure out what was going on, that’s when I learned about the packages, which all of the packages are increasing in cost.
