I’m a Rush baby that grew up on Reagan, GWB, and W and then wholly rejected my parents’ brand of conservatism. I didn’t go Obama but I recognized the folly of the GOP. From as early as I could remember till about 2006, you always knew Hollywood leaned left, but you could separate the art from the artist.

Ever since i started paying attention in 2000, I could tell that Hollywood and NYC thought I was less than. Never bothered me much.

Around 2012-2014 it went from politically different to openly antagonistic.

The argument of “poliboard invaded” is acting like there hasn’t been opening salvos from the left for over a decade.

Or to more a specific instance, it’s acting like the right started the culture war about drag time story hour when the “cultural” left has been the one saying they aren’t happening or they’re not a big deal if they are and getting upset that the right is pointing it out.

Only people with purple hair would have an issue with that video. It’s spot on as is his other content

What they are asking for is for those that disagree with them to shut up AND continue to pay them. they want the ability to bring their politics to the TV screen, the movie theater, the radio, etc but audience members have no such choice. They must silently consume next product. And really, silently isn't enough...they have to parrot whatever activism is being spouted because, as we're told...SILENCE IS VIOLENCE.

I'm torn. Part of me misses the innocence of a time when actors were smart enough to shut the frick up and dance around and collect the money people threw at them for distracting those of us with jobs for a while. All we knew about them was what we heard them say on Carson or what their publicist let get out in a few celebrity magazines. But with social media, every one of them feels the need to wax poetic about every topic that comes up. What we've learned is, most of them are fricking idiots. so while I miss not knowing this, I kind of do like knowing it now...so I can make decisions and avoid handing them any of my money.

Or that the show runners give interviews to the trades or even smaller online media companies talking about such issues? You think people don’t form opinions based on their words?
