How hard would it be to write No Country though. Not a lot of dialogue, and when they do talk it's one big stereotype. Luellen's wife is annoying as hell and so is her mom. Tommy Lee Jones' character is a bad joke.

The chase between Brolin and Bardem is the only good thing about that movie, the rest is unnecessary and boring.

Brah, you should see the movies some of these people talk about. Or worse, the stories they write. There are 2 or 3 exceptional writers, but most of the rest are dreadful

2 or 3 exceptional writers is a very high proportion. Most classes don't have one. 2 decent writers in the same class is a miracle. The vast majority of writing classes I took involved very poor writers. Very poor. One girl critiqued my stories with a fricking crayon. A crayon! Seriously!? fricking terrible.

I will never forget reading a story that had a phrase similar to the following:

The flaming flames of the flaming fire...

Kill myself.

That's like straight out of a Shyamalan film.

Mrs. White: Yes. Yes, I did it. I killed Yvette. I hated her, so much...
[stammers]
Mrs. White: it-it- the f - it -flam - flames. Flames, on the side of my face, breathing-breathl- heaving breaths. Heaving breaths... Heathing...

Carson the Movie Snob Meets Screenplay Hipsters From Outer Space!

That sounds like the title of an awesome B-movie.

I haven't seen it in years, but I watched it dozens and dozens of times when I was growing up.

Watching Kristen Wiig sing Major Tom acoustic really does it for me.

That said, no country is hands down the better film.

All that no dialogue in no country has to be written in and described. Much better screenplay than Mitty. Hell Mitty wasn't very good and it was even an adapted screenplay, that should have been easier for the writers.
