Similar (not as good as Departed, of course) - Shutter Island? (Liked - really liked it - but never been driven to watch it again - but I'm not saying never.)
I'd recommend at least one or two more viewings. For me, it gets better because you pick up on little nuances throughout that really delve into the human condition, not unlike Blade Runner but obviously with a different vibe.

For a recent example, Silence was really good but something I never want to go through again.

If I hated a movie after seeing it, I would most likely watch it again to see why I hated it. I know that sounds weird, but that's just the way I am.
For example, Spider-Man 3. Watched it in theatres and thought it was bad. I didn't watch it again until it came out on DVD.
However, there is one movie I will never watch again, In the Name of the King. It's just bad.

I'll add Only God Forgives. Thought I would like it going in, but it was bad every second of the way.

A Serbian Film. No one should ever watch that even once.

Movie 43 is awesome.
Agreed. Requiem was intriguing.
Mulholland Drive, weird but good.
Enter the Void. Beautiful to watch, though.
Holy Motors, holy shite, strange.
Winner, but I have watched more than I should, Irreversible. fricked up. Backwards, shaky camera work, 10 minute still shot horrifying rape/brutality scene.

Twilight - Never even finished it, Sister in law acted like it was the goat so we checked it out. Found out her taste in movies sucks.

Independence Day Resurgence, my god was that film terrible.
Another for me would be Patriot's Day which I thought was incredible. Just wouldn't want to go through that again, a tough watch.

Movie is better every time. Get Lynch's "10 questions" or whatever and watch it again. Movie has layers of meaning and a substance to it that's difficult to get the first time.
Another one in the "loved it, but never watch again" - American History X.

Memento
Never watched it again. Don't really see the point. (and i've rewatched Usual Suspects many times so it's not that angle) - Memento is just a one-off though. Usual Suspects had funny characters despite the reveal.
I need to rewatch it. The first and only time I watched it, I felt disappointed. I remember concept was interesting, the execution seemed contrived and stretched credulity. Enough years have passed now that I should give it another chance, especially since I don't even recall my specific criticisms other than my friends telling me it was, bar none, the greatest movie ever would have been lying even if I hadn't been disappointed. I forgave them their excesses of rhetoric. Eventually.

"Apocalypse Now" I should admit that I have actually rewatched it several times, but can't see myself doing so again. The last time was the "Redux" version (which I think gets undue hate) and parts of that, especially the Bunnies at mud camp, are just viscerally soul-destroying and robs me of all faith in humanity. Very depressing and while the ability to affect me in the real world is a sign of a great movie, it doesn't make me long to revisit those sensations.

I do not care to ever watch Requiem for a Dream again. I know it’s highly rated, but that was rough.
That was my answer upon entering this thread.
