Jaws stays with me every time I am in the water. Salem's lot freaked me out as a kid but today it doesn't hold much weight as to a psychological response.

Jaws is probably the worst one for me as far as impacting me. I don't feel comfortable in the ocean unless I have had a few drinks. Always looking for sharks.
The Exorcist did a number on me, too. I'm 36 and probably just got to the point in the last 6 years where possession movies don't freak me out anymore. Saw it when I was young (8 maybe?). Don't even think I saw the whole thing but I couldn't sleep in the dark for a month after. Went with the nightlight!

I had a clown piggy bank as a child, until I saw IT. That night the piggy bank met the hammer.

For some reason my mom let me watch it with her when I was 6 and I haven't been able to go near a clown since.

Darby O'Gill and the little people. The banshee was scary as shite when I was 5.
There was also a movie I remember watching about a mad scientist who turned people into snakes. One of the characters who got turned into a snake was named David. That's my name. Freaked me the frick out. Don't remember the name of the movie, but I don't think I'd watch it to this day.

Chucky-I saw it when I was about 3 or 4 and it haunted me for years. It didn't help that my grandmother has a collection of porcelain dolls either.

Pet Cemetary
My sister who is a lot older than me decided to rent it, but was too scared to watch it by herself, so she thought it would be a good idea to have her 5 year old little brother (me) watch it with her.
Needless to say there was many a night spent in a sleeping bag in my parents room after that experience.
Still will not watch that movie to this day.
