Totally agree with this. Half the movie is montages; without the great music, it's basically a 45 min film about Rocky exploring the thematic element of change.

When naming movies that are about musicians, Shine's perfecting of "the Rach 3" has to be mentioned.

The use of rock music in A Knights Tale was awsome, especially The Boys are Back in Town and We Will Rock You!

dragonheart, the movie was a little cheesy but the soundtrack made it much better
