1984 partial list

My favorite year. Movies, music, arcade games, politics, TV...

Dallas
Dynasty
Family Ties
The A-Team
Cosby
Cheers
Night Court
Magnum P.I.
The Fall Guy
Hill Street Blues
Miami Vice
Knight Rider
Airwolf
Jeopardy (with Alex Trebek premiers)

And don't forget music...

1984 is the ultimate pop-culture year...mythical. Sort of feel lucky to have been a child in 1984.

Well, 1984's Ghostbusters was an original movie that spawned a huge franchise. Spiderman: No Way Home was the 7th combo reboot/sequel in that movie franchise so there is a difference.

Same thing with Karate Kid. 1984, the original movie came out. 2021, the 9th installment of dipshits crashing tuned out cars. There is a difference.

I think movies were better then because they had original stories and practical effects. I can appreciate that more than the most popular movies today, which are all sequels and reboots filled with CGI schlock.

Marvel and DC are the Garth Brooks of Hollywood.

I liked it at the time, but realized what the consequences were well after the fact.
