Well there was a poster in this thread that mentioned going to see lame action movies rated 37% on RT on Monday, instead of on a Friday. Maybe they would go see a movie like that anyway.

Where did I say it wasn't a good deal? I'm saying for me, someone who sometimes goes to three-four movies a year tops, there is no point in paying a monthly fee for movies I won't go see. When I do go, I love 3D and IMAX and only recently did they start allowing that.

Everyone I know who has Movie Pass is someone who w3nt to 10+ movies a year before they had it. And for them it makes a lot of sense. But for people who only wanna see a few a year, it really isn't worth it.

Also, my father died and times are really tough financially and I don't have even 10 bucks a month to just throw around. My mom is in bad shape and every penny helps. I quit buying stuff like Blurays and books (even though I love reading) because times are tough.

Well, yea. That’s pretty obvious

There is at least one movie a month worth seeing. Always. Even in the down months.

Then there are plenty of movies that are more than entertaining enough for me to go with MoviePass.

the wife and I were gonna see a movie, and checked the app - no surge pricing. we left and went to the theater (bout 10 mins) and the show was surge priced - terrible timing.

to get around it, we went the next day when the box office opened and got our tickets for the 7:30 pm showing and got them before they were surge charged.

it's a tad inconvenient but nothing bad. however, we think were gonna be done with MP after this month and likely gonna do the AMC one - 20 more a month, but i really like the ability to see repeated showings of a movie.

I went to the Incredibles yesterday, it was the only showing without a surge charge. Seems ridiculous.

Ugh. Wish they would've raised the price to $15 to keep it running longer

Guess I'm gonna start doing A List and just drive to the slightly less nice AMC a little further away now.

I was happy paying $30 a month for it. It's the fricking dishonesty of lowering it to $10 then charging a per-movie fee that is pissing me off.

Yeah. A matinee here costs me like 12 bucks. Would totally pay 20 or 25 without even blinking.

I'm guessing since I ordered the year pass thru Costco that they'll give me a full refund if this is truly the end

what a bummer

Yeah, unless you have an e-ticketing place nearby, I doubt you’ll be able to use moviepass again

well, I had Moviepass for 3 months and got 10 movies out of it, so I'll call it a win.

good chance someone else buys it for their data and infrastructure. then that company will raise the price to make it work better.

Wow, it was down for almost a full day. But it's Friday, so at least you'll be able to see MI6 this weekend before the final nails are hammered down on the coffin.

MoviePass has all showings for Mission Impossible blocked out for Baton Rouge tonight. Every theater. Every version, 2D non-imax as well.

That one was worth the money to see in IMAX IMO.

I'm gonna try to see Leave No Trace, Eighth Grade and Sorry To Bother You this weekend.

Currently can only see Mission Impossible via e-ticketing. And they hoped normal showing would eventually roll out.
