They killed the "Four Movies per Month" for new users policy and went back to the movie a day plan for everyone.

Yep, but they also offer a 3/month + the I Heart Radio stuff for $7.95.

I thought you could already only see a movie once.

That was their plan for the first five years, then they let it lapse without making a big deal about it. Word got out and they reinstated the one viewing per movie thing.

I've already seen Infinity Wars five times with Moviepass... it's not difficult

How many times have you stayed for the post-credits scene?

Why would I want to go sit in a sticky seat with the phone talkers and the oh shitters to watch some shitty comic book movie aimed at 14 year olds when I could just stay home and not watch the movie at all?

I've been told, they don't mind if you see two shows. People who do a double feature tend to spend more on concessions.

Has anyone had issues after using a different phone to buy a ticket and then going back to the phone originally used on your account? A few weeks ago my wife use her phone to sign into her account and my account to get both of our tickets. Just curious what their policy is on that and if I'll run into issues?

I never understood their business model.

They only profit if the people with their service don’t go to movies?

They also sell viewing habit data of the users

They’ll change their policies fairly often. For years they were strict on one phone per card, and getting the app to accept you on a new phone was a chore. I wouldn’t be surprised if they went back to being strict on phone usage.

Hell you can see 3 or all day on a Tuesday or anyday.

They don't care...you can bring lunch with you and make it a picnic...all they want is for you to break down and buy that $10 popcorn (which you eventually do - with free refills.)

We have a Cinemark where you have 6 screens on each side in between the concessions.

And the two big screens have a bridge between them. So you don't even have to walk through the lobby. You just open the exit door at the top of the movie theater walk over across the lobby unseen and you are suddenly walking into another big screen movie in the dark.

It's a bridge between one side of the theater to the other without going through the lobby.

Has anyone been asked to start taking a picture of the ticket after purchase?

Tonight will be MP #41 when we catch Bad Samaritan and never once have we been asked to show a ticket stub pic.

Besides, if you want to see IW again, just buy a ticket to another movie with the same showtime and just walk in.

I used to love to do this, but now every theater around us has reserved seating, so you basically have to wait until the movie starts to go in and pick a seat.

They did it to me a couple of times. I think I had just used the service to see a different movie than what I'd purchased or something. My wife was never asked to verify her purchase but they asked me to take a picture of my stub.

Those are the people that you see sitting in the front row, and then when the movie starts they get up and move to better seats. :)

In all practicality, it's a fairly simple fix.

The criminal mastermind solution is to monitor the sales of the reserved seats by way of Fandango or the theater's app. Just go to purchase a ticket online and stop once you get to the "pick your seat" option. Refresh that page as the movie start time approaches and you can see if anyone has purchased the seat that you are sitting in.
