Looks like many many solid options to take the kids to. I don’t see anything but kids movies in the theater at the moment because the cost of babysitter, tickets in palm beach county, concessions isn’t worth any movie to me. It’s easily 100+ dollars and for that I’d rather take my wife to a nice restaurant.

Concept doesn’t work bc men just want T&A. There’s no mystery to what men want and if a hot woman could read men’s minds she’d be horrified and scared. If an ugly woman could read men’s minds she’d cry.

Uh, haven't we already seen all these movies.
It's like they're not even trying anymore. Did Hollywood writers die out or something? Or are execs so afraid of losing their jobs, they're ignoring the writers and just playing it safe like the auto industry. Every car design is the same because design flaw damages you lose billions instead of millions with just negligent craftmanship.
So the producers can claim, hey I don't know why that movie tanked, I was just following up on our hugely successful previous Avengers movie. No one has any balls to take a chance; they don't want to be the next Ford Pinto.
And for the sequels how many times will the Avengers avenge? How many times will John Wick revenge? And what new conflict will wonder woman mend?
It's like 1950's seriels - Lone Ranger, the case of the missing mask Part 200.

So a lot of popular franchises people want to see. And somehow Hollywood is bad or stupid for giving people what they want? There are still original movies coming out, but you whiny tampons don't go see them. Hollywood has been recycling ideas for decades. Half of the Best Picture winners were novels or plays first or remakes anyways.

I listened to a podcast recently that had Matt Damon on and they were talking about how the disappearance of the VHS/DVD sales market is causing producers/studios to take a lot less risks and basically abandon the adult, mid size budget movies. I forget the exact percentage, but the amount of the total gross that VHS/DVD sales made for a movie was very big. Now they have less room for error if a movie flops in the theater

Maybe...maybe not.
If I were to look at a list of all of the movies scheduled to come out next year, I would feel excited about the titles that I recognized. Chances are, if there are comepletely original ideas/titles on that list, then I probably wouldn't recognize them or know anything about them to warrant putting them on a list like the one in the OP.
