Self-explanatory topic. What is the most deep, profound, powerful movie that you have seen. One that really makes you think...one that may change the way you view something...one that lingers and never goes away.

The film can be in any genre.

I remember being a kid watching Saving Private Ryan and the opening scene just blew my mind away. Gangs of New York was another film that I remember being particularly powerful and awe-inspiring.

Rudy comes to mind. I wouldn't call it deep, but it is inspiring even though it has been exaggerated. It is a movie I will show my son as a lesson to go get what you want in life.

Maybe not the most profound but the idea that we may just all be connected to a matrix run by machines blew my mind in The Matrix.

Saving Private Ryan is up there.

The Passion of the Christ was pretty powerful, whether you believe or not.

I think the most impact I felt after a movie was United 93. Granted, the subject matter is sort of guaranteed to bring about emotion, but when the movie ends and the screen just goes black, that theater was as silent as I've ever seen, and it took a minute for people to sort of get up and start leaving. The room just felt, sort of..heavy I guess.

Also, Dear Zachary is pretty profound emotionally as well. That movie stays with you for a while.
