I'm not close to being caught up but Hurley drove me nuts saying "dude" and "like" in every sentence. Not that big of a deal but nobody on the planet says them that much and it just gets old.
I really don't dislike that many on the show.

Jack was SUPPOSED to do it only according to Jacob, but from JACK'S perspective it was a completely retarded thing for him to do. Now, you could say that Jacob knew Jack was an idiot and would smash the mirror. But that's only proof that Jack, as character, is an idiot and unfit to be leader of anything. Either Jack is an idiot or the writers made a big mistake, you choose.

I think Jack's response was completely normal considering everything he has been through. He is trapped on an f'ed up Island, where crazy things are happening, he has black smoke chasing after him from time to time and most of his friends are dead. Then he finds out that he is some sort of toy.
But Locke was blowing up submarines and killing people that could potentially get them off the Island, and everybody loves him.
