most of their stuff, i go back a ways. They are great actors, but honestly how different is DeNiros character in Meet the Parents compared to Goodfellas or Casino??? still that intimidating, dry kinda hardass.....

quote:

Brad Pitt is somebody that gets no respect when it comes to being diverse. He is a great character actor. Twelve Monkeys, Fight Club, SNATCH, The Assasination of Jessie James by the Coward Robert Ford, Burn After Reading, Inglorious Basterds, The Curious Case of Benjamen Button. He has a lot of other good movies but those are some he had to step outside the box a good bit and showed his versatility as an actor.

Like Oldman, Pitt is a great character actor. The thing that sets him apart is that he has the looks and chops to pull off the traditional leading man role.

Actually I go with Robert Downey. His work in Tropic Thunder was genius.

There are many out there, but it's hard to pick anyone more diverse than Oldman.

Another that comes to mind is John Malkovich

ffs, edit the subject to say "versatile".

nobody is "diverse"

Oldman is the winner, btw, with a nod to Sam Rockwell

Completely forgot but shouldn't we call Andy Serkis and just give him the award. The dude played Gollum and an actual gorilla.
