It's not worth engaging these people. The problem is that journalism has become the career choice for passionate, stupid people so they get the largest microphone to blast their nonsense.

This is all so confusing... the movies are set in a different galaxy, a long time ago... racial construct as we know it on Earth in 2017 AD is irrelevant to their galaxy.

Look, I loved the movie, and have argued with a lot of people on this board to that point, but the SJW angle from both sides is ridiculous.
The journalist (and I use that term lightly) who wrote that article should not have a job. I didn’t even read it but if you’re first instinct is to belittle disagreement with shouting “racism!!” then you are everything I have hated about MSM for years now.

I think the backlash from the people writing off the fans who didn't like the movie will be far worse than the backlash from those who didn't enjoy it.
