Somebody linked a video several months ago where the neckbeard mafia (Nerdrotic and their ilk) said Moana was going to make ALL the money.
Where are these cultural warriors saying it was going to fail because woke?

Bumping this just watched it with my kids.
It wasn’t that bad, definitely felt a little better than of those straight to DVD sequels from back in the day. It certainly wasn’t in the same stratosphere as the original and the songs were WAY worse, but we all knew it would be that going in.
My biggest critique, which might seem silly, is that the village all of a sudden has all the historical knowledge of their ancestors, right down to their names and great stories. So basically the village elders, led by Moana’s dad, has been hiding history and and ancestry from the entire island for how long exactly? That’s extremely fricked up and no one called them on it? Moana’s dad has all this knowledge of where they came from to give to Moana and kept it from EVERYONE?!?!? I mean talk about a tyrannical ruler….
