Another documentary series I enjoyed was Apocalypse: World War One. Don't know if it's accurate, but it held my attention for the whole five parts.

The Stand and IT broke my heart. I wanted them to be good so freakin bad.

What was wrong with IT? The movie was scary at the time and made a whole generation hate clowns.

True Detectives- Season 1. McC's acting was superb. Plot was very unusual. Season 2 with different Detectives and Plot sukked.

Generation Kill is one that I just can't understand why people just don't appreciate more.

Band of Brothers is amazing. Pacific didn't do it for me; maybe because it couldn't match up with BoB.

I recently rewatched Shogun on encore, maybe a year ago. Hadn't seen it in decades. Still solid imo, and considering when it was made, excellent.

No desire to rewatch Roots, or the reboot.
Same for Dune.

Firefly/Serentity is an interesting non-intentional miniseries; a great show, badly mishandled.

If you've got patience and are into scifi, Babylon 5 is worth a watch. It was technically a series, but as I remember it, it was written out from start to finish before they filmed the first episode. The CGI is a bit dated, and some acting is a bit overdone, but the actual storyline is very deep and involved.

People always talk about Band of Brothers but forget about the earlier HBO series about going to the Moon.
