I have so many examples of doing that myself when I was growing up, as I was an avid reader.

My older brother was in college when he asked me, "Do you think the next Superman movie will have Brianic? (Bry-anic).

My other brother and I looked at him and said, "What the frick are you talking about?" He read Brainiac as Brianic when he was a small kid, and his mind just repeated that in his head his entire life.

I'm so tired of people using "deeply" as an adjective to describe how upset or concerned they are.

Everything is "deeply upsetting" or "deeply troubling". Get a fricking thesaurus.

Even a clean Jerry Seinfeld type can be dragged through the mud by association or changing sexual sensibilities.

You mean it's no longer acceptable for 40+ year old men to serially date teenagers?

unflattering and downright ugly details surfaced about his past conduct and statements he made on an eight-year-old podcast series.

I don’t watch Jeopardy and don’t really give a shite who the host is, but if you have to go back nearly a fricking decade to find something to fire the guy over, then you’re REALLY going out of your way to find something to find to fire the guy over.

As expected, the woke mob has now turned their attention to Mayim Bialik:
Backlash Over Mayim Bialik’s Unearthed Vaccine Remarks Intensifies as She’s Chosen to Guest Host Jeopardy!

Toldja this was all about Richards' skin color and not his lame jokes.

As I already stated, this was about him rigging the search to hire himself coming to light. This is why he's still running the show, just not hosting.

And the "woke" mob has been after Bialik since she was announced as the co-host. And they've also "been after" her for a few years now, because we now consider "going after" to mean "people disagreeing with you on Twitter."

They should let her keep the job but tell her she now has to wear a mask.

Well...what did he say?

Nope thats not how this new strategy of cancellation works.

You get an article that says you made disparaging remarks, but you have to take the cancellers word for it.

Wonder if Simmons addresses this. He's been complaining about cancel culture ever since his "open mic night" comment went over terribly.

He addressed it.

He was pumped and "thrilled" with how it went down.

Like beaming with pride about it. It was bizarre. It was as if he was talking about bagging a deer on a hunt.

Mayim Bialik to Take Over ‘Jeopardy!’ as Guest Host Amid Shakeup

Oh no, poor Amy, old social media post gets another one? I'm sure they will be okay with her post now that she apologized and caved on vaccine.

People that actually watch the show were pretty good with it.

Its now a 2nd podcast where he brags about it as if the success of that book was that it got the guy fired. Not even that what he did was wrong. Just that he was a pelt on the wall.

Its fricking bizarre.

Super weird that he's excited the company he owns was responsible for something culturally relevant. All of us here loathe our own successes, obviously.

You guys are still missing the point of what happened. Simmons is happy that his employee employeed old-school, patient, thorough journalism in the writing of this story. That's what he's been guessing about. And this story includes stuff Richards said on podcasts, but that's not what it was about. And for the last fukking time, that's not why he to stepped down. The ringer story revealed how he rigged the hosting search even after it was apparent that he was a lead contestant in that search.

Simmons didn't make the mental leap between his story and cancel culture, because this story isn't about cancel culture. It'd be cool if you guys could also realize that.

Nah, Blossom did this shite. It's how people make power moves in Hollywood now. Just ask JJ Abrams and his wife, the creator of "#timesup."

Well think about how many billions of people there are and have been and estimate what percentile (99? 99.9? 99.99?) rankings would place her or people of similar health, affluence, etc. It seems appropriate for a person who is relatively young, apparently healthy, and financially set.

It's been hilarious watching you type multiple walls of text trying to explain your ridiculous take
