The episode "Definitely Miami" has 80's wrote all over it. It's probably the one I've rewatched the most over the years
Definitely Miami was my favorite episode and Miami Vice is still my all time favorite series. Arielle Dombasle was smoking Hot in that episode.

I think he did the series and the film.

Maybe…you won’t even…twitch” BOOM. Badass. Common in TV and movies now, but back then, not so much.
Yep. Back then the cop giving up his gun because of a hostage was the typical way that plays out on TV. My dad was in LE and didn’t care much for Miami Vice due to the glitz but he did comment that their techniques looked well coached and that at least Crockett didn’t give up his gun….which you never do. It was questionable though a about shooting the guy with a hostage in his arms.

I was close. Funny how I can’t remember half the shite I did last week but still can remember parts of that episode from 30 years ago. Great TV.

It's a memorable scene from one of the greatest tv shows of all time. Still my absolute favorite show ever.

That’s a good one. Besides Willie some of the other musicians to guest star: Glenn Fry, Phil Collins, James Brown, Miles Davis and Ted Nugget.
Ted is in the aforementioned Definitely Miami also my pick for GOAT episode.

Although we did choose to ignore this basic fact- after a few busts, the word would be out that the guys with the Ferrari and speed boat were actually cops.

need to do this. What are you watching it on?
Tubi to confirm. I see someone else mentioned it. I’m going kinda slow with it. Last night was one eyed Jack. Dennis Farina and Dan Hedeya as guest stars. Introduction of EJO. Not everything holds up, but quite a bit of it does.

Watched The Glades tonight and enjoyed it so much watched the two premiere episodes.
I was really taken back at how well they hold up. Other than the obvious 80’s nostalgia the story was really well done. Also, I can’t think of any TV show I’ve seen recently with the quality of cinematography, style and locations that rivals what Mann did back in 84 with that premier. No wonder this series is a classic.
Also, not only did they nail the casting but Thomas and especially Johnson have so much on screen charisma it’s ridiculous. They own every scene. Even in Tin Cup where he was essentially the bad guy, it’s hard to dislike Johnson.
I’m going to have to rewatch them all. Thank you Tubi.

Tubi is such a great app. Love all of the old, hard to find content on there.
I actually don’t mind commercials BUT
No matter what, the ads play every 15 minutes. I mean (at least for me) it cuts to the ads right in the Friggin middle of a show when there should not be a stop set for an ad
Next, I keep seeing the exact same ads over and over and over and over
Sure, it’s free so I can’t really complain because I do love the app but I just wished they offered an ad free subscription. I could seriously see myself paying the same amount of money as I pay for Netflix (I enjoy this app that much)
I also LOVE that I can watch other Local News from different markets! That’s amazing!

I think Mann wrote and directed the film, I’m pretty sure he did neither for the TV series. I think he was just involved in the production. Dick Wolf is the guy I think of when remembering the series.

Ok, I'm going to say it.....no slight to Thomas but this might be the only show where the white guy is cooler than the black.
